In some semesters, additional performances on- or off-campus are included. All ensembles can be taken for credit and may be taken multiple times.
The 亚洲博彩平台 University Bands provides students the opportunity to participate in any of the three large ensembles offered at 亚洲博彩平台. Graduate students may audit the class at no extra cost. The Wind Ensemble rehearses twice a week with a final performance at the end of the semester. The Big Band rehearses weekly with multiple performance opportunities both on and off-campus. The Pep Band is an ensemble that prepares music for a number of university events including home basketball games. Auditions are not required for entrance into an ensemble, 然而, chair placement auditions for new students are required and held at the beginning of each semester.
The String Orchestra rehearses on Tuesday and Thursday from 5-6:15pm. The ensemble works towards a final concert that is held at the end of each semester. The repertoire consists of major works, recently composed music, and popular literature for orchestra. The Orchestra is open to all 亚洲博彩平台 students regardless of academic discipline. At 亚洲博彩平台, students who play the violin, 中提琴, 大提琴, or double bass can enroll each semester for course credit.
